In 2019, the Bosques del Encenillo residential complex launched a competition for the development of the co-owned wetlands and swimming pool. The project consisted of proposing a forceful response to be located between the gymnasium and the squash court. The submitted proposal was the winning one and the project was built in 2020. I was the architect, designer, modeler and decorator of the project. It has 800 m2 project for the wetlands of the complex. It includes swimming pools for adults and children, jacuzzi, solarium, new baths and turkish baths. Also I leaded the processing of construction license.
The winning idea was to propose a volume that would complement the original areas with the new proposed zones. This premise was generated from the central garden as the design axis. This space connected the gym and spa area with the rest of the building, which contains a communal lounge and administrative areas.
The project was modeled in Sketch Up and Revit for coordination purposes. Later, it was migrated to Lumion.
The proposed architectural volume was a lightweight element, developed with a metal structure and large windows facing the exterior.
The general layout of the building generated two exterior gardens that functioned as insulation from the original architectural volumes.
The quality of the space, in terms of ventilation and lighting, makes the project an architectural achievement with great spatial and architectural benefits.
The pool area is divided into three sections: children's pool, adult pool, and jacuzzi. The strategically placed perforations in the roof allow for sunlight and a perfect indoor climate for the activities of the residents of the residential complex.
The livability of the area is guaranteed by the spatial, architectural, ventilation, and lighting quality. This is coupled with the constant connection with the exterior gardens and the view of the horizon.
Design as an architectural act that is the product of creation. And a creation that advocates for well-being and hope.
