In 2020, I designed, built, and oversaw the development of this home for my family, in Bogota. It was a project with an enormous challenge since the slope of the lot required an innovative solution that was in keeping with the topographical characteristics of the site.
The structure of the house was developed entirely in steel, with round columns and IP beams. The lightness of this construction system allowed the development of the house in very little time, despite the adverse topographical conditions.
The house is built on two floors, where the goal was to achieve maximum thermal comfort, orienting the house toward the sun so that habitability in terms of climate and sunlight would be optimal.
The interaction between the interior of the house and the distant views and the landscaped green areas make this project a complete success from an architectural and construction perspective. The project was developed entirely in AutoCad, SketchUp and Lumion.
Design as an architectural act that is the product of creation. And a creation that advocates for well-being and hope.
